SnapTube vs VidMate: Both SnapTube and VidMate are both great video downloading and streaming sites. Each of them has its own unique interface and has a variety of features. In fact, SnapTube has recently brought out the new SnapTube Lite, whose Apk file we also host on our site. That said, many people have asked us that when we compare SnapTube vs VidMate, which one of them will triumph. We have tried and solved that issue here.
Technically speaking, since both the platforms enable us to ensure that the videos can be viewed without the need of an active Internet connection, it is also important to distinguish their pros and cons. This post has been divided into three parts: one will highlight the many features of the SnapTube app, one will deal with the VidMate app, and then we will pass the verdict on which one is the better app.
SnapTube has a very good interface. It is also updated regularly, the Apk file that is. To top it off, it can also be used on a Windows PC. SnapTube has an inbuilt music player using which you can automatically play the music that you have downloaded (in MP3 formats or similar such formats) and you do not need to use any third-party or external players. This makes your device that much more secure.
The number of sites from which you can download the videos is plenty. Overall, the app certainly occupies less space which also translates into lesser RAM consumption and a much smoother experience. However, unlike many other video downloader websites, this one does not sit very well with some download accelerators like Internet Download Manager or IDM; apparently, there is some problem in integration. Overall, a pretty robust application.
There is a problem, however: the Apk file of SnapTube is not too often updated. It was last updated in October 2017. That might prove to be a disadvantage.
VidMate shares almost all of the above features. It is also free of cost and has no premium version which means that it does not charge any licensing or subscription fees. The one major advantage that it has over the rival SnapTube app is that the Apk file is regularly updated with some major new features every time. VidMate also offers its own video preview option which is a great positive point. At times, however, it can suffer from error while trying to precisely parse videos before the downloading starts. As we can see, both the apps have their own problems.
No matter which platform you are using, these two are nearly neck and neck as far as the features are concerned. Given a choice, however, we would pick SnapTube as the winner. It is fast, effective, and easy to use. Notice anything missing in our SnapTube vs VidMate comparison? Let us know in the comments section below.
